Frank Giesecke

Software Engineer / Chief Security Officer

About Me

I'm a software engineer since 2000. During my training I have mostly written applications for Windows in C++. One year after my training, I moved to the system administration. In my time as a system administrator, I have not only taken care to complex, distributed networks. I was also in charge of the development for a large web application. Thus, a good understanding of the cooperation of the development and operation evolved with me.

After 6 years working as "DevOps" I decided to switch back to develop web applications. In case of years of experience as an administrator, I could understand the system landscape of our customers. This was very helpful to design better applications.

Since I am a very security-conscious human being, I took over a job as a security officer in 2015. In this position I plan PEN-tests for existing applications and design the better implementation of security controls.
